Messy story

I must share this story with my fellow moms out there. I was not going to share this disgusting story but when it happened twice to me I thought what the heck you guys will get a good laugh from this. My daughter has this new thing, when she goes number 2 she goes in my closet. I have to also share that she likes to take my clothes out of my drawers and then put them back in (it is pretty cute) she already gets the idea of clean up. So the other day she went to the bathroom in my closet and as she was walking out I noticed she was taking her diaper off. Gross.......poop everywhereI Later that day I went to put comfy pants on and oh yes she did....she must have been going to the bathroom as she was removing and then putting my clothes back in my drawer. Yep I had poop on my pants. I washed everything in the drawer, couldn't believe it.

Well not going completely back into the same type story, but she did it again and this time it took me a little time to realize it!!!!!!

The things they don't tell you about mother hood. Boogers on your shoulder and in my case poop on my pant leg!!!!!!

Hope everyone has a great week, stay warm and safe!!!!! Winter Storm 2011 is about to hit (excited to see if we will really get any snow)

Trying something new

I have been following a friend's blog who is doing weekly meal plans. I started this too. It saves us money because we aren't going out to eat so much or doing last minute meal through the drive thru lanes. But with these weekly plans I am running out of things to make so I opened up some recipe magazines Bryan's great grandmother got me. Taste of Home: Cooking for 2

Last night I made and we tried: Reuben Casserole:
Ingredients: (I changed the amounts of the noodles and prepared mustard to my family's liking)
1 1/2 cups uncooked egg noodles
2/3 cup condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/3 cup milk
2 tbs chopped onion ( I used onion powder instead)
3/4 tsp prepared mustard ( did must more for more flavor)
1 can sauerkraut, rinsed, drained
1/2 lb of smoked kielbasa or Polish sausage, cut into 1/2in slices
1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese ( I use mozzarella)
3 tbs soft whole wheat bread crumbs
1 1/2 teaspoons butter, melted

Preheat oven 350degrees
Cook noodles as read on pkg
In small bowl mix together soup, milk, onion, mustard set aside
Spread sauerkraut into a 1 qt baking dish coated with cooking spray
Drain noodles and layer over sauerkraut
Layer soup mixture over noodles
Then add kielbasa over soup mixture
Sprinkle with cheese
Finally finish off with bread crumbs and melted butter
Cook for 15/20 minutes

Bryan gave this meal 2 thumbs up. I must say I am not a big Reuben sandwich fan but I did like this. I was not crazy about the sauerkraut but since it was layered I did not have to eat if it I didn't want to!

Hope you enjoy

Doin' what I want to do

Today Bayler went to school (he has been home Monday and Tuesday) and I wanted to make today was all about Miss Braxton. On the days Bay goes to school I get so busy doing office work, catching up on laundry, paying bills, etc that her and I don't really do our own fun stuff. She is growing up and starting to have likes and dislikes and I want to be sure to make time for just her and I. So today we have been playing in her room, dancing in the living room, eating snacks, and making the living room a big bed (she loves getting tons of blankets out and rolling around in them) Would also like to make a note: Brother is not here to knock her down while she dances, take the blankets away from her, steal her snacks, and take toys from her. I promise he loves her, I believe there is a rule that a big brother is suppose to pester his little sister. She is loving all of this attention from me! No comments on her crazy hair, I can only do so much before she takes over with messing it up!

Finally captured on camera, her top teeth, she never shows them, she has 4 on top and 4 on bottom

Let's dance

Watching TV

This is a kick!!!

Lots to do in only 3 days

A lot has been happening in these past three days, Bryan's grandpa went into the hospital Friday, but is doing well they are finishing up his surgery as I type. Please keep him in your prayers for a speedy and painless recovery.

And as the picture shows we caught the critter that has been making so much noise in our attic. Bryan and Bayler heard the trap go off while I was giving Braxton a bath Friday night. Bryan asked me to come help him and of course all I did was take pictures.

Bryan took this little guy or girl out to his land and let him go!!!! Love the quiet nights, well I mean no noise from the attic!!

"Can we keep him mom" followed with "better not he will scratch us"

We then celebrated my cousin Nicole's birthday

Of course my mom came, we were going out dancing and boy did she bring her dancing shoes!!!
"I am a better dancer than you" I was told while dancing with her on the dance floor, CONFIDENT a little

Love these ladies, Lindsey, Chrissy, and Gina

The boys and let me tell you, they did not move from this spot all night, they did not bring their dancing shoes :( no fun

Fun times

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, today Bryan has been at the hospital all day with his grandma, aunt, and uncle waiting for Jim to get out of surgery. I picked my kids up from my dad's this morning and we have been in pjs all day, watching movie after movie, my mom made a roast so I need to go get the table ready for dinner!
Have a great week

Baby Talk

So the time has come for Bayler asking when mommy and daddy will have another baby. Last week while him and I were laying in bed before saying good night he asked if I could have another baby. I told him we would just have to see, but right now I wanted to focus all of my love and attention on him and Braxton. He then followed that request with another, Mommy can you give me a baby brother? I had to tell him that God decides if we should have a baby girl or baby boy. He then went into his night time prayer asking God for a baby brother.

Last night once again before bed he said, "Remember how pretty Braxton was when she was born" I said "yes and you too were a handsome baby" He said "Braxton is growing up and she is even prettier" I said "she is and you are growing up into a very handsome little man" he followed with " Oh shucks, mom. You know mom Braxton won't be a baby much longer so you and daddy better be getting another baby in our house before then, I love babies......" Where is this coming from?

All this baby talk from the Bay man has me thinking, is our family complete or is there room for one more. Well I know God has a plan for us but for the year 2011 Bryan and I are not planning for another one. Now 2012 we will see, kids will be older, financial stability will be a little stronger (hopefully) and maybe I will gain an extra amount of patience as I enter a new decade (2012 will bring me into my 30"s) We will just have to see. As for now we are a family of 4 and enjoying every minute of it.
