Merry Christmas

We had a busy but amazing Christmas. We went to my mom's on Friday to do the kids Christmas with her.

Then on Christmas Eve we went over to Bryan's mom and did our Christmas with the Madden's and Haverly's.
Came home (my mom came over to spend the night with us)
Got all the things ready for Santa: cookies, chocolate milk, and cereal for the Reindeer
Here are the gifts Santa left for my babies

The Annual Dirty Santa/dinner with my dad's side

Every year we all get together and have great food and play dirty santa. I haven't played the past couple years, kids make it hard to enjoy the game. Not others people's kids just mine. They have a way of distracting me. Either way we still go and get to see my family. Bryan and I stay in Yukon on Christmas so I miss seeing everyone on that day so I am so blessed they do an early get together.Me and my Dad
Grandma Jeanie (my kids great grandmother/my dad's mom) she always makes the kids a Christmas stocking
Grandma Nancy and my kiddos. We love seeing Grandma Nancy any chance we get, her smile is contagious

What we have been up to

So we have been busy since Thanksgiving. Had family in town, Bryan shot a deer, Bedlam game, soccer games, and then Christmas get togethers. I love our friends and family and wouldn't change our busy schedule one bit. Here are some pics to recap:

Keeping the tradition alive

We went yesterday to pick out our Christmas tree. It was a beautiful day and we had so much fun finding the one that was just right for us. The kids are at such a fun age and are so entertaining to watch as they get excited over the smallest things.

A Sad Day for all OSU fans

A very sad day for the OSU community. A plane crash took the lives of Head coach Kurt Budke and Assistant coach Miranda Serna. Also The pilot, 82-year-old former Oklahoma State Sen. Olin Branstetter and his wife Paula. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by this tragedy.

Braxton

So I thought I would update you guys on Miss B since her special day is soon approaching.

-Her brown hair is starting to turn blonde. She makes it very hard to keep her hair fixed. She loves to twirl her hair when she is tired or drinking her milk so if a ponytail or clippy is in her hair she quickly takes it out.
-She loves doing things by herself: putting her shoes on, brushing her teeth, going potty, etc. She is my independent child
-She loves mothering her babies, she loves mothering all of us. She gets Bayler his shoes, drink, toys, blankets, whatever she knows he needs. She does whatever I do to her to her babies. I am currently potty trainging her so she is potty training her babies, See what I mean
-She growls when she is mad, she bites her hand when she wants to bite her brother (we are a little weirded out by this, hope it is a phase)
-She loves to dance, twirl, forward roll, and jump to all types of music
-She loves to snack, she is all up for eating. She tries everything and surprisingly likes most everything she tries
-She goes to bed by herself (still in a crib-because I am not ready for 2 kids making there way to my room) She lays with me for about 10 minutes and then says goodnight to all of us including the dogs and lays with her babies
-She loves her high heels, she can often be found in a pull up and her heels
-She loves her brother and has played with boy toys most her life, only because she loves playing with her brother

There is so much I am leaving out but I am off to make dinner for my hungry bunch

She's turning 2 and I can't believe it

This cute little girl will be 2 on Sunday and I can't believe it.
She on the other hand thinks she is the same age as her brother. Always has to be doing whatever he is or at least telling him what he should be doing. We are having a very girly party!
"Lip Gloss, Lollipops, Pink High Heels "2" top it off!!!!
Cupcakes, cookies, and at her gym class with all of her favorite people
These pics are from the other day when my children decided they wanted their pictures taken.

Feeling sad

Yesterday my family lost a great man. My Papa King. Leonard Wendell King Sr., my daddy is Leonard Wendell King Jr. Papa King was a funny man! You could always hear his laughter over everyone else's. That says alot because we are a loud bunch. He was an honest man, he said what he felt and meant what he said. Some of my favorite moments with Papa were our monthly phone conversations. He would always call me once a month to catch up on life. I loved our chats, stories, and laughter.
He had ALS :Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (a-mi-oh-TROH-fik LAT-ur-ul
skluh-ROH-sis), is a serious neurological disease that causes muscle
weakness, disability and eventually death. ALS is often called Lou Gehrig's
disease
He has been dealing with this disease for about 2 years. It took his voice from him first. It was difficult for everyone to adjust to this because if you knew him he loved to talk, share his stories, his jokes. Slowly it was taking over his body, but being the stubborn man that he was he still managed to keep everything as normal as possible. Hospice visited Papa rather than him going to doctor appointments. He loved his home, his land, and Grandma Nancy being by his side. He was beginning to lose control but the one thing he was able to control was his HOME. Family visited, he got to sit in his favorite chair and be right where he wanted to be. My papa passed away with my Grandman Nancy and Uncle David by his side. Later the whole family went to say goodbye.
Even through Papa living with this disease he made the decision that after his death he was going to donate his body to science to help get more of an understanding of this aggressive disease.
I know he is in a better place now, but we will still miss him dearly. He truly was one of a kind. Just typing this makes me smile because all my amazing memories of him are running through my mind. Love you Papa King
