Happy Birthday Momma

So we had a wonderful day with my mom for her birthday. She got off work early and we had an early dinner. She has wanted to go to Joe's Crab shack with Bayler. My stepbrother Travis and his partner Matthew met us there. We had a great dinner. My mom, Bayler, and Bryan went out on the patio and fed the fish. Bayler loved it. Then they went and played on the playground. We had to bribe Bay to leave. Joe's had everything he could imagine, a pond with huge fish, a playground, and his GiGi. They are so close sometimes I feel left out! I love my mom and all that she does and is to my family. She is a very special lady! Happy Birthday!!!!

Fish Day

Bryan got home from work and asked us if we wanted to go fishing. Of course Bayler said yes, and then he said it was okay for us girls to go too. We started off at the muddy pond behind Grammie's house. (Bryan's great grandma) Didn't even get a bite in 45 minutes, so Bryan took us to the two ponds on Grammie's other land. Bryan threw his fishing pole in and instantly got a fish on. Bayler was pumped. He made us call him Jeremy. (off of River Monster) It was pretty funny, I was his sister, Bryan was our fishing guide and our friend Brad was someone Bayler called Jerk. Not knowing that was a negative name, Bayler just said Brad looked like a jerk, I had to agree. We caught fish up until the sun went down. It was great time. Braxton and I just hung out in the back of Bryan's truck. She is such a good baby she only got fussy when she was hungry. We are totally excited that summer has arrived and that we can continue to have family outings just like this one.

Sick day

So over the weekend, Bayler had an awful fever. From the fever he had a headache, sore throat, and then congested. He is doing much better today but i didn't want to take the chance of him getting any of his school friends sick so he stayed home today. He is enjoying the day home, doesn't acted or look sick at all. Some would think he played hookie, but I know that he really was sick. I love the days that I don't have anything that has to be done (bills to be paid, construction books attended too, etc) We are just taking it easy. There are a lot of bugs going around and I am so thankful that this passed by itself and that Miss Braxton is healthy as can be. What else can a momma ask for!

Concert with Friends and Family

We had a great time at the zoo amphitheater. We watched STYX, Kansas, and Foreigner ( forgive me on the spelling not sure). The weather was good to us, no rain, but we were prepared if it did. My mom watched the kiddos. Thank you Mama! Always good times when you are around great people. Thanks for the tickets Coley!

Rainy days

Since the weather is keeping us from playing outside we have be staying occupied indoors. Which means I am constantly picking up after my little guy. Braxton is now on the move by rolling every which way so I have make sure Bayler doesn't leave anything small on the ground. I am going to have to do a big toy clean up and out next week while Bay is at school. Bryan has been pretty busy surprisingly considering the weather. We are going to have a calm and relaxing weekend....Hopefully!

Dinosaur Museum

We went to the museum down in Norman with my great friend Traci and her boys, Ames and Steeler. We had a wonderful time. It is such a neat place to take your children. Bayler loves it. He has been so many times now, he acts as a tour guide for newbies. And his cousin Steeler was a newbie so Bayler showed him around and named every creature he saw. I have to say my child is pretty smart when it comes to identifying animals. He gets that from his dad. They watch all nature shows, like Planet Earth and Life. They are big fans and remember every creature. Bless Braxton's heart she only got to see the things hanging from the ceiling. Fortunately there were many items for her to look at. She is such a wonderful baby. She was content in her stroller while her brother instructed us every which way. He gets that from me. If you haven't been you need to go, even if you don't have kids it is very interesting. And for all you sweet tooth's out there, they are having a chocolate exhibit from May 15th-29th.

Tornados go away

I have officially been in my car while watching a tornado touch down only miles away from where me and my kiddos were. I tried to stay calm, but if you guys know me that is hard to do. I was trying to get home to Bryan but had to make a quick decsion and head to Bryan's momo (Charlene) house. She has a storm shelter. Mark, Amanda, Charlene, and some of Charlene's neighbors were already taking cover. I got my babies down then I followed. My eyes were red totally giving away that I had been crying. Bayler was so brave and enjoyed telling the story over and over. I know tornados are scary in general but when you become a parent you hold such a different responsibilty. No longer do you think of your safety but that of your families. I hope everyone is okay and that is the first and last storm of the year.

Mother's Day

I had a wonderful mothers day weekend. My mom and I spent Saturday pampering ourselves. It was so much fun. As I have grown older I have developed such a great friendship with my mom. We can spend hours and hours together and have the best time. Then on Sunday I woke up to happy babies, breakfast, and flowers. It was a beautiful morning. We then went to the hospital to check in with Goldie and wish her a happy mother's day. All Bryan's family was there so we got to spend some time with them. Ended the day at my mom's. My aunt Deb and uncle John came in for a quick visit. The family got together for Mother's day and to see Deb and John. A great way to end a wonderful weekend. Hope all had an enjoyable weekend as well.

grammie

Well as I said in a previous post, my husband's great grandma went in for surgery. I am happy to report that she is doing well and is on her way home. Thank you for all your prayers. She is an amazing and strong willed person. I am so fortunate to have her in my family.

Totally Embarrassed

So yesterday I picked Bayler up from school and he takes his sweet precious time as he makes his way to my car. So I go ahead of him open the door and begin loading his bag and blankets, when the next thing I know he has pulled my pants down for the whole world to see and yells, "New Wedgie" (this is what he came up with when we told him to stop giving original wedgies) School was letting out and the poor school children of all ages saw my tush in the bright of day. He instantly knew he was in trouble with the way I looked at him. He said, "Mommy do I not get my treat now" the traditional piece of candy I bring him when he did well at school. I said no! So he asked if he could go to GiGi's house. Later that day he told his dad, my mom, our friend Brad, and he got many laughs so unfortunately I fear new wedgie may strike again! I am going to wear a belt from now on!

And here are the boys, as I was saying in my previous post. They got to hang out all day, just the boys. Bayler is a momma's boy at heart but loves being one on one with his daddy. He acts so much older with his dad. And of course I never can get him to nap ever....Bryan has him asleep when I got home, couldn't believe. We ended our Saturday by having dinner with Bryan's family. Bryan's great aunt Judy was having her 70th birthday party. We had a great time and loved seeing everyone. We were all very tired and ready to come home and just veg, well everyone except Bayler who had so much sugar he is still currently bouncing off the walls. Very excited for next weekend, my aunt Deb and uncle John will be in town and of course Mother's Day. Please keep Bryan's great grandma in your prayers. She will be having surgery on Friday. Hope you all have a great and blessed week!

Busy week with a great weekend

We had a busy week and ending with a great weekend. Bryan and I went to the Thunder game on Friday and had a blast even though we lost:( My mom came over and stayed the night so that Bryan and I didn't have to rush home. Though very tired Braxton and I got up early the next day and got ready for our very first tea party. I was so excited....I know corny. She looked just beautiful and was such a good girl at the bridal shower. We went with my mom and got to see my mom's great friends, aka the Yayas. I love them, always a good time when we get together. While we were having girl day my boys were spending the day together, I know sounds like trouble!
