Start of our vacation

We had lunch at Rainforest Cafe once we got to Galveston

We thought it would be super fun for the kids

To our surpise Bayler was terrified.  They sat us next to the monkeys and every 15 minutes the monkeys move and the lights go out and makes it seem like it is storming in the forest.  Braxton loved it but Bayler ate with his eyes close for most of our lunch.

Notice our look alike double chins, Braxton looks much better with hers :)

Our beach house.

Right when we got there they darted to the water, their favorite spot to be

Braxton doing whatever her brother does

Posing during our first official beach day

Weaver Girls

She loves to twirl her hair and this is the result

Hanging out while Bryan is fishing, the kids pampered me by covering my legs and feet with sand, I liked to think I was exfoliating :)

Bayler hanging out, he is having so much fun and using his googles to try to catch a fish with his bear hands

He said, "mom I just stepped on a fish"
Miss Braxton giving me a smile which is her way of saying, "sorry mom, for undoing your bathing suit top"  No worries the world did not see anything but I was quick to recover!!!!! Thankfully

Lately

We went to the lake with the Wright's and Bayler tubed for the first time and loved it.  Braxton wasn't feeling well but hung in there and loved the boat rides and making sand castles on the beach.  Bayler pretty much went "fish mode" and swam the entire time

Then Bryan fell under the weather and I went solo to my girlfriends bday Toga Party.  Love her and had so much fun.  Happy Birthday Lindsey

Oh and Lindsey (from above) gave me a new look.  I love it and so excited how it turned out!!!!!

Bayler attended his first soccer camp and loved it.  He had some buddies going with him, Carter received MVP and Bayler received Most Improved.  Only 3 awards were handed out and these two talented boys were lucky to get them

Bayler's Tball team received 1st place for the season and we went to the trophy ceremony.  The boys couldn't believe how big the trophies were

Proud daddy

And in News from the Weavers, Braxton and I went shopping and she wanted these bracelets.  After leaving the store she handed one to me and said, "mommy you have one, cause you are my best send"  I couldn't help but get teary eyed.  Love her to pieces.  So here are our friendship bracelets, or Braxton says, "Sendship Bracelets"

Happy week to everyone

Happy Wedding Week

Happy Wedding week to my cousin Nick and my dear friend Lindsey.  So excited for their special day but so excited for what their future holds.  Two great people that deserve nothing but years and years of happiness. Bryan and I are so fortunate to have them in our lives.  I always love the family members you can call "friends" and friends that you call "family"  Nick and Lindsey, Bryan and I wish you the best as each day passes.  Laugh often (that will be easy with Nick around) never stay mad at each other (just a waste of y'alls time) and always say I LOVE YOU.

Can't wait to bust a move at the reception!

We Love You

Lately

The family has been divided the last couple days. The boys went on a lake trip and Braxton and I stayed home. They went exploring, dirt climbing, and everything in between. Braxton and I enjoyed a quiet house, shopping, and snuggling together at night time. Went completely against our rules and let her sleep with me and she loved every second of it. (I did too) We are still practicing Tee Ball, outdoor soccer, and finishing up indoor soccer. Braxton is still attending her gym class and we will soon be signing her up for dance class. We are hoping to het her in a class with some of her friends. Some of the boys on the Tee ball team have little sisters and it was too cute watching them at practices. There are about 4 to 5 little girls and they were jumping, dancing, and cheering. Looks like the whole family will love our nights a the ball fields. Hope you all enjoy the weekend!

PS My bday is coming up and it is a big one!!!!!!!!!

Brother vs. Sister

For the past couple weeks it has pretty much been an ongoing match, Bayler vs. Braxton:
yelling, not sharing, pinching, pushing, scaring, anything you can think of it has been happening.
So I thought I would share who does what:
Bayler loves to pester Braxton. She can be playing dolls and he walks over and knocks them over. She can be drawing and he steps on her book or takes her crayon and throws it across the room. Braxton hanging out all my herself, and next thing you know he jumps out and scares her.
Last nights pester game was taking off all of her Valentine stickers she worked so hard to put up. She gets so mad and then she gets your payback face on
Braxton loves bossing Bayler. Bayler is believe it or not my more sensitive child so he usually cries or acts out a lot sooner then Braxton who bottles it up and then explodes when she has had too much (can you say me and Bryan's personalities) Braxton loves to tell Bayler to "get outta here" "go to time out" "go to your room Bay Bay" which is followed with a "you're not the boss of me" screaming match. Braxton loves pinching Bayler, whenever and wherever. She loves stealing his toys and then running as fast as she can to get away. She loves tearing up his "artwork" Last night they argued because Braxton would not let Bayler on the couch.

I grew up as an only child until I was 12 and to be honest I would have been an awful sister if I would have found any reason to pester or be mean to my younger siblings, plus I consider each of them gifts from my dad and step mother. Seeing this sibling rivalry is so interesting to me. I definitely choose my battles before I intervene. They are starting to fight and make up all on their own. Now please know they do not fight all the time, like I have said before they have a love/pester relationship. I have noticed Bayler likes to get a reaction out of Braxton and Braxton loves to get Bayler to interact with her (even if it might end with a light saber to the head) Again this is something I see that Bryan and I do in our everday lives, Bryan loves teasing me to get a reaction, and I love bothering Bryan just enough so he will laugh or yell(never) at me.
I love that my kids have each other and I hope they stay close as years pass

Snow Day

So I caved and let my child who yes has a little cough and runny nose play outside in the snow! Call me a bad mom, but he calls me "The best mom in the world" So I feel much better, for the moment
This is him outside the window because it was way to cold for me to hang out there and take a million pics of him and the first 2012 snow storm, hehe. But of course I still took a ton of pics but mostly from the inside looking out
Batters up, me throwing snowball, he well you get it
"Watch out mom, here comes a snowball"
And if you were wondering where the princess was, well she was catching up on her beauty sleep as all princess do on a cold, snowy day
Hope everyone had a nice and warm Monday

Girls Day

While the boys are watching Star Wars 3D, Braxton and I decided to get her first manicure. She did so well and couldn't stop saying, "I love purple" so you guessed it....she got her nails painted PURPLE
Love Girls Day and can't wait for the many more we will share

This & That

So I am going to try weekly (hopefully) just giving updates on what we/the kids have been up to. Bayler is going to school 4 days a week. He knows how to write his first and last name. Months/ Days/ Seasons. Number/ English and Spanish. He is on List 5 on site words. He is really into decorating his room right now. Anything he sees in magazines, birthday cards, newspapers, coloring books etc go on his walls. I am allowing this for the moment. He is so proud and walks us through his room telling us why he chose that picture and why it belongs where he put it. Braxton stays home with me and has her days where she is my little helper and then the days where she thinks the only thing I should be doing is WHATEVER she wants me to do. She is counting to 10.....she really likes the number 2 so it sounds like, 1-2-2-2-2-2-3-4-5 etc. She is potty trained, I know I may have already posted this but YEAAAAA! I am excited. She is in her big girl bed and for the most part stays in it all night. She is loving Barbie right now. If if a doll or a princess isn't a Barbie to you, it is to Braxton. She will be going to the Mothers Day out this Summer with Bayler and I think I might go crazy the first couple days. It has been about 3 years since I had a day or days to myself. Hope everyone has a great Tuesday

Big girl bed

Bryan and I have been enjoying uninterrupted nights of sleep, so we thought what the heck why not take our chances and break Braxton's bed down to a toddler bed. Crossing our fingers she stays in her room/bed all night long. Will keep you posted.

My day with Miss B

So today Braxton got to play, play, play the day away. I was doing office work and was a bit distracted all day.
We started the day as Snow White
and by lunch we were tattooing ourselves
Couldn't help but laugh

Growing up

Just thought I would post about what my kiddos have been up to.
Bayler: He is working on site words from school. Every night we do our flash cards and he loves showing me all of his work he does at school. He still loves his chocolate milk, blankets, and nature shows. He is currently hooked on Phines and Ferb (on Disney) and Call of the Wildman on Animal Planet. He is going to play outdoor & indoor soccer, and also T-ball this year. Bryan is going to help coach his team. We can't wait. He is growing like a weed, just had to go buy him all new pants! We do a donut date every Thursday morning, just me and him. He looks forward to this day all week, no matter how early we have to get up. I love our special time too. Also he is very helpful with chores around the house. Hope he continues this well into his teen years
Braxton: Miss B is into the "terrible twos" with an extra act of sass and drama. She is potty trained (shoosh) she loves her high heels, hats, braclets, and rain boots. We can't leave the house without her rain boots. We are growing her bangs out. She has a kitchen in our kitchen and she plays like she makes food for all of us. She is starting to put sentences together, it is too cute. Her and Bay have a love hate relationship. Sometimes I am more like a ref rather than a mom. Braxton and went to the mall the other day and she is a great shopping buddy.

Well hope everyone had a great week and continue to have a great weekend

Daddy's girl

I remember looking at my dad just like this. I hope Bryan and Braxton continue to build a close relationship as the years pass. A bond between a father and his daughter is so important. She loves her daddy so much and I love hearing Bryan's voice rise a notch when he talks to his baby girl. Bryan does this thing with both kids just at random times, he says "Guess what" and Bayler and Braxton always follow with: "I love you too daddy" it was something started with Bayler when he started talking. It always makes me smile when I hear that little conversation between them. Just wanted to share this because I thought it shows her crazy love for her daddy
